The Queensland Coal Mining Legislation Workshop includes an introduction to Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Legislation including the following:

  • Obligations of Persons at Coal Mines
  • Management Structures and Safety and Health Management Systems
  • Safety and Health Representatives
  • Inspectors and Other Officers
  • Regulatory Requirements

This is non-accredited training.  Mine Training Solutions will provide candidates with a Certificate of Completion.

Auditing Services

An Audit is a process of systematically examining documents and records to sufficient depth to verify whether the system meets the established criteria.  All audits are conducted by an Internationally Qualified Lead Auditor and Co-Auditor.

Compliance Audits

Determining additional regulatory requirements of the Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and Regulation 2017.

Effectiveness Audits

An effectiveness audit involves obtaining information to determine its effectiveness; ascertaining systematic and regulatory requirements have been implemented in the activities of the workplace to achieve an acceptable level of risk.  According to ‘Guidance Note QGN09 Reviewing the Effectiveness of Safety and Health Management Systems’.

System Audits

To determine the establishment of the Safety Health Management System in accordance with the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999, Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulation 2017 and supporting information contained in Standards Australia; AS/NZS4804:2001 Occupational health and safety management systems – General guidelines on principles, systems and supporting techniques and AS/NZS 4801:2001 Occupational health and safety management systems – Specification with guidance for use.
